For retail stores

Your register and your marketplaces, finally telling the same story

Retail stores that add marketplaces usually end up running two inventories and reconciling them by hand. SECND makes the floor and the marketplaces read from the same stock record, in both directions.

What breaks first in retail stores

Two systems, two truths

The POS says four in stock, the marketplace says six, and nobody knows which is right until a customer finds out for you.

Marketplaces are a manual side project

Someone has to remember to list new arrivals and pull sold ones. It happens when things are slow, which is exactly when it matters least.

Channel profitability is a mystery

Marketplace fees, shipping and returns land in different places. Whether the eBay channel actually makes money is a question that never gets answered.

How it runs on SECND

The same five steps, every item, whether it sells on the floor or on a marketplace.

  1. 1

    Connect your POS

Square, Shopify or Lightspeed. SECND imports your catalogue and keeps reading sales as they happen.

  2. 2

    Choose what goes online

Publish selected categories or the whole catalogue to the marketplaces that fit your product mix.

  3. 3

    Sync stock both ways

A floor sale decrements the marketplace listing. A marketplace sale decrements the floor. No nightly export.

  4. 4

    Fulfil from one queue

Marketplace orders land in one place with labels and tracking, so packing is a station and not a scavenger hunt.

  5. 5

    Report by channel

See revenue, fees and margin per channel so you can invest in the ones that pay.

Retail Stores: frequently asked questions

Do I have to leave Shopify or Square?

No. SECND is designed to sit on top of the POS you already use. It reads your catalogue and your sales, and writes stock changes back, so your staff keep working in the register they know.

How fast is the inventory sync?

Sales flow through within seconds rather than on a nightly batch. That speed is the whole point - a delist that happens tomorrow morning does not prevent an oversell tonight.

Can I sell only part of my catalogue online?

Yes. You choose which products or categories publish to which channels. Many stores start with one high-margin category to learn a marketplace before expanding.

What about items with real quantity, not one-offs?

Multi-quantity products are supported alongside unique items, so a store with both packaged goods and one-of-a-kind stock runs on one system.
