How Poshmark fees work

Poshmark uses a two-tier commission. If the sale price is under $15, Poshmark keeps a flat $2.95; if it is $15 or more, Poshmark keeps 20% and you get 80%. There are no listing fees, no monthly fees, and no separate payment-processing fees — the commission is the whole cost.

Shipping is paid by the buyer at a flat rate (currently $7.97 for a USPS Priority label up to 5 lb), and Poshmark emails you the prepaid label. If you offer a shipping discount to close a sale, you pay the difference out of your earnings, which is why the calculator lets you enter a shipping cost.

The $15 threshold and why it matters

On a $14 sale you net $11.05 (a 21% effective fee). On a $15 sale you net $12.00 (20%). The flat fee hits cheap items hardest: a $6 sale nets $3.05, an effective fee of nearly 50%. Bundling low-value items into one order that clears the threshold is the single easiest way to lift your net.

How to keep more of each Poshmark sale

  • Bundle low-priced items so the order total crosses $15 — the flat $2.95 fee is brutal on singles.
  • Use Offers to Likers with a small shipping discount instead of a deep price cut; you control what you give away.
  • List for the price you want net of 20% — if you need $40 in hand, list at $50, not $45.
  • Cross-list the same items to Mercari and Depop; their fee structures are lower on cheap items and higher-priced pieces sell where the audience is.
