Connect Claude to SECND

Give Claude secure access to your store: search inventory, run analytics, and bulk-edit listings from claude.ai or Claude Code.

TL;DR

In claude.ai, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector and paste https://mcp.secnd.ca. Sign in with your normal SECND login when prompted. Claude can then work with your live store — and always asks before changing anything.

Before you start

You need a SECND account and a Claude plan that supports custom connectors (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise). You'll approve the connection with your own SECND email and password — there are no API keys to copy and nothing to install.

Connect in claude.ai

Open Connectors

In claude.ai, click your initials (bottom-left) → Settings → Connectors.

Add the SECND connector

Click Add custom connector, name it SECND, and paste https://mcp.secnd.ca as the URL.

Sign in with SECND

Claude redirects you to the SECND sign-in page. Log in with your usual SECND account and approve the access request. You're sent back to claude.ai with the connector active.

Use it in a chat

Start a new chat, click the tools icon, and enable SECND. Try: "How many Nike jackets do I have in stock, and which sold fastest last month?"

Connect in Claude Code

If you use Claude Code (the terminal app), add SECND with one command: claude mcp add --transport http secnd https://mcp.secnd.ca. The first request opens the same SECND sign-in flow in your browser.

What Claude can do

Connected, Claude has the same toolset as the built-in SECND assistant: search your products and sales (including deleted items), check stock by location, run velocity and restock analytics, compare marketplaces, look up listings and delist history, check background jobs, search by image, and read these help docs.

It can also make changes — bulk-edit listings and update your description templates — but every change starts as a preview: Claude shows exactly what would change before anything is written, and applying is a separate, explicit step.

Permissions and safety

Every tool call needs your go-ahead: Claude shows an Allow / Don't allow / Always allowprompt. Read-only tools (searching, analytics) are safe to set to Always allow. Editing tools always warn you — they are marked as destructive, so Claude asks for explicit approval each time.

Claude only ever sees yourstore — access is tied to the SECND account you signed in with, and you can revoke it anytime by removing the connector in claude.ai's settings.
