Currency and Accounting Settings

Choose the home currency SECND uses and understand marketplace overrides.

Last updated 2026-09-08

In short

Your home currency is the default for store prices and marketplaces that inherit it. A marketplace-specific currency overrides it only for that marketplace.

Home currency

1.

Open Finance

Open Listing Manager → Finance.
2.

Choose a currency

Select the currency your business uses for its main prices and reports, then save.

Changing the home currency changes the default currency setting. It does not convert the numeric prices already stored on your products.

Marketplace overrides

Some integrations manage their own currency. For example, Facebook Marketplace can inherit the home currency or use an explicit override, while Whatnot can detect currency from your newest inventory listing. Open that marketplace in Connect or Integrations to review its value. Select Use home currency to remove a Facebook Marketplace override.

Heads up

Check the marketplace currency before publishing. Changing a currency code does not perform an exchange-rate conversion.

Accounting method

Choose Cash basis to recognize activity when money changes hands, or Accrual basis to recognize it when earned or incurred. This setting is separate from listing-price rules.
